Whenever I get VFACTS (Motor industry sales) data through, I have always like to look at the brands I was involved with through Torque Group (Ford and Toyota) and Northstar Motor Group (All the rest)
These statistics keep me in touch with the rise and fall of the brands and make me wonder what (if anything) I could or could have done with them. The Fiat/Alfa Romeo, Jeep and Chrysler brands have taken a significant hit since I left the franchise business in 2015, but a couple of the others are doing well – Isuzu Ute and Suzuki, to name a couple.
So supply is still a significant concern. More so, I believe the vehicles’ allocation to Australia has been diverted to other overseas markets. (IMHO). I have customers who have been waiting for over 12 months to receive a vehicle, and a couple still don’t have estimated arrival times.
